FAQ
This page answers common merchant questions about Payment Links.
Do I need a developer to use Payment Links?
Not always.
Payment Links are intended for merchants who want a hosted payment option without building a full custom checkout integration.
Can I share the payment link directly with customers?
Yes.
The Payment Link is designed to be accessed directly by URL, so the merchant can share the link with customers.
Can I brand the page?
The only brandable element is the merchant logo. All other page elements (layout, fields, wording) are part of the standard ZenPay-hosted experience and cannot be changed.
What payment methods can appear on the page?
The payment methods shown on a Payment Link depend on merchant configuration.
Depending on setup, this may include card payment, bank payment, and other hosted payment methods made available for that merchant.
What customer information can be collected?
The hosted page includes standard fields such as customer name, customer email, contact number, payment amount, and customer reference. These fields are fixed and not configurable by the merchant.
How do I know I have been paid?
The merchant receives the payment outcome through the configured merchant-side process.
Depending on setup, this may include email notifications, webhook notifications, portal visibility, or merchant-side reconciliation.
Can I use email or webhook notifications?
Yes, depending on merchant setup.
Some merchants may rely on email notifications, while others may use webhook or callback notifications as part of a deeper internal workflow.
When should I use Hosted Checkout instead?
Use Hosted Checkout instead when the merchant needs checkout to be launched from their own website or application, or when the payment flow needs to be embedded into a broader order, cart, or session journey.
